Janice Hallett nació en 1969 en el Reino Unido y es periodista, guionista y escritora. Estudió Lengua Inglesa en el University College de Londres y escritura de guiones en Royal Holloway, Universidad de Londres. Trabajó como periodista para el Departamento de Desarrollo Internacional y en la revista Cosmetics International. En 2011 coescribió el guion de la película Retreat, de suspense y terror. Su debut literario fue la novela The Appeal, publicada en 2021, que se convirtió en uno de los títulos más vendidos en el Reino Unido. Posteriormente publicó The Twyford Code en 2022 y The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels en 2023.
